Motherhood in "Coco : Disney Pixar's Movie"

What do you remember about your childhood? Maybe the smell of a special dish from your mother's kettle or frying pan? Maybe the way your mother hug you, call you with funny name? Or even the way she yell at you when you didn't listen to her ? What ever it was, it is important !

When your mother or your beloved grand mother or aunt who act as a mother for you is still present, please enjoy the moment to be with her. Even though sometimes, it is weird and strange because she treats you as a kids ! Every mother in the world will always thinks that their children never grow up!

If your mom was passed away, I am sorry about that but please remember her because she need it.  Just like one of Coco's soundtrack (see the link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iDxU9eNQ_0 ).

Maybe your remembrance will save them and bring them to heaven.  That's one of the message in "Coco - a Disney Pixar movie" directed by Lee Unkrich (see the teaser https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8NB2aaiM14 ).  Personally, this movie makes my tears dropped completely.  It was so touching and shake the bottom of my heart. Well, yes, Pixar is always my favorite! https://www.pixar.com/#home-coco

For me, through "Coco" - Pixar Studio's reminds us that family is always matter, what ever you do and you did or you will do, family will always beside you. You can't keep the hatred because it just make you sick as well as it is  suffering everyone around you. Probably, if we have a chance as Miguel's (the boy who has wonderful voice in this movie) to cross the border between living's world and the death's world, we would understand that making the deaths  alive in our memories and calling them in our praying are meaningful for them as well as for us.

I think, through "Coco", Lee Unkrich, the director, is successful in bringing and presenting Mexican's culture not only as a characteristic but also rich and  soulful which is presented through language, songs and dances.  Through this movie, we also  understand that the family bounding for Mexican is also very strong,  just like Indonesian. We always attach to our extended family!

If you are going to watch this movie with young children (age below 6 years old), you probably have to explain why so many skeletons in this movie are suddenly released and scattered but then merge and relive as our body, human live (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg8116aeD7E).

The children probably don't understand or afraid. The animation is from the word 'anime' means 'bring to live', so through a series of works, the animators and director, can  make anything live and act like human! Anything can happen, but only on the screen.  :)

If you want to watch it on cinema, please check the playing schedule in your town here  http://www.21cineplex.com. I hope you don't miss it, I am sure it will bring you travel back to the moment where it was so wonderful for you and for your beloved mom. Please enjoy!

Happy Mother Day to every Mom in the world! 💖
